The Nippon Foundation Volunteer Support Center (also popularly known as “Volasapo”) was established as an organization to carry out operations related to cooperation based on the agreement relating to cooperation in the area of volunteer activities for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games concluded between the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) and the Nippon Foundation.

Games through Volunteer Training
To foster momentum for and lead to the success of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) by aggregating the sports volunteers the Nippon Foundation has supported to date along with its expert knowledge, know-how, networks and experience related to disability sports and the understanding of people with disabilities, and cooperating with the volunteer operations run by the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020).
The Fostering of a Volunteer Culture
Our aim is for the fostering of a volunteer culture that will, through the feelings of fulfillment and joy that come from connecting with people, enable the more than 110,000 volunteers who support the games to participate in volunteer activities in various fields in their daily lives even after the end of the Games.
